On the closing deadline, you will receive an email from COOPER EVENTS saying if you have been accepted into the event or are on the reserve list.

With the exception of players awarded wildcards, players will be selected on the following criteria: For Grade 5 & 6 events, the acceptance criteria is first come first served. Make sure you enter early to avoid disappointment! You can always withdraw from the tournament after. For Grade 4 events, the acceptance is based on ratings and recent form for mini tennis, and ratings and rankings for yellow ball.

A rating is a measuring tool indicating a standard of play and allowing players to record their progress. An accurate rating should give a player access to appropriate level competition. For most competitions ratings takes precedence over rankings for both acceptance and seeding. For junior and adult players there are 20 rating bands, starting with 10.2, which is the lowest, progressing to 10.1, 9.2, 9.1, 8.2 etc. until you reach 1.1, which is the highest rating. An LTA ranking is a measure of where you stand within your county, region and nationwide and represent an overall order of merit with players positioned according to ranking points acquired in domestic and international tournaments from both singles and doubles events. If an event is oversubscribed, we create a reserve list of players hoping to be accepted into the main draw. If a player in the main draw withdrawals from the competition, your player will either be moved up to the main draw or moved up in the queue. If your player is accepted into the main draw, you will be notified immediately of the acceptance.

Match times are fixed by the referee and are NOT NEGOTIABLE. All applicants are considered available to play AT ALL TIMES throughout the published dates and times of the tournament. It is each player’s responsibility to find out when they are required to play. We will normally tell you your first match date and time (or the procedure for finding this out), by email. This information will also be published on British Tennis. If you have not determined when you are playing within 48 hours of the start of the tournament, you must contact the tournament referee. If you do not and miss your match as a consequence, you will lose your entry fee and be subject to disciplinary action by the LTA Penalty system for "failure to show". During the tournament, you must not leave the club without checking if and when you are required to play next.

The centre may refuse admission to any person without giving a reason and ask any person to leave the premises if their behaviour has caused or is considered likely to cause distress or inconvenience to others, whether in connection with the tournament or otherwise.

We may decline to accept an application from any player without giving reason.

All players who enter this tournament, use the venue and compete at their own risk, Neither the tournament, its officials nor the venue, its staff, management or committee will be responsible for death, personal injury, or loss of or damage to property whether occurring on the premises or otherwise, other than liability for negligence incurred under English law. If we make a mistake which prevents you from playing or continuing in the tournament, the maximum amount we shall be liable for is the value of your entry fee.

By submitting an application to this tournament you acknowledge and agree that you are subject to the Rules and Regulations of the LTA (including, without limitation, the LTA’s Competition Regulations, LTA Code of Conduct, the Rules of Tennis and the LTA Rules including the LTA’s Disciplinary and Dispute Resolution Procedures, Tennis Anti-Doping Programme and the Regulations concerning Match Fixing, Financial Speculation and Betting) and hereby fully and unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction and authority of the LTA.

By submitting an application to this tournament, you agree to the publication of your name, LTA membership number, rating, ranking, county, acceptance status, match details and results on the British Tennis website and to the LTA and/or the organisers of LTA tournaments, from my geographical area, using the details provided on the entry form to communicate information about this and future tournaments, in my geographical area, via post/email or SMS.

In a case of accident, illness or emergency at the tournament, involving a player under the age of 18 years old, emergency medical treatment may be carried out as recommended by appropriately qualified medical personnel including, without limitation, St John’s Ambulance.

By entering you consent to being involved in any publicity connected with LTA Staged or Approved Tournaments, including media interviews, photographs, TV footage and LTA research projects. Please inform the entries secretary or tournament referee if you do not wish to be involved in such publicity. Unofficial photography and video recording is not permitted without the prior consent of the tournament referee, any players involved in such photography/video footage and (in the case of players under 18 years of age) their parent or legal guardian. To avoid disruption to play, requests must be made with sufficient notice as consent will not normally be sought from players once a match (including warm-up) has commenced. A photographic consent form may need to be completed.

The tournaments are sanctioned by the Lawn Tennis Association ("the LTA") and will be run in strict accordance with the ITF Rules of Tennis, the Rules of the LTA and the LTA Tournament Regulations, including the LTA Code of Conduct (as each may be amended from time to time). The tournament committee may alter or add to these rules in which case we will post written details on the tournament notice board and/or the tournament website. The referee shall however have general discretionary powers in interpreting any rule or regulation relating to the tournament and in situations not specifically covered by any applicable rules or regulations governing this tournament.
